Santa's Delivery

We converted our downstairs family room into a play room for Kade's Christmas gift from Santa.
It came fully equipped with Kade's personal train set, work bench, and basketball hoop. Needless
to say he is loving his new play area.

The hammer was confiscated shortly after this video was taken.

Christmas Eve

Nana and Papa H. surprised us with a visit on Christmas Eve since we weren't going to be able to come down with the snow/ice packed roads. We had a great time with them and wish they could have stayed longer.

The first gift Kaden opened (the vacuum) was from Nana and Papa H. He loved it so much that we couldn't get him to put it down long enough to open the rest of his gifts.

The one gift that did catch his attention was his new car. Putting it together took Papa H. twice as long as it should have because Kade just couldn't wait to sit in it and drive!The final product.

Winter Wonderland

We have had almost 3 feet of snow in the last week here in Spokane. Here are a few of the pictures after the first 24 hours of snow fall. Kaden LOVES to be outside in the snow.

Last weekend we went to Stoneridge Resort for our yearly weekend getaway with Adam's family. Kaden had a great time with all of his cousins. We spent lots of time in the sandbox and on the playground. He also enjoyed basketball, swimming, miniature golf, and a Halloween costume party.

You may remember seeing J.C. "John Charles" in an earlier post, on the day he was born.
This is Kaden playing with J.C 7 months later.

Kaden and Ella had a play date yesterday at Pig Out in the Park. Both of them did great considering they hadn't had a nap all day. Here is a picture of them on the carousel down at River Front Park.

A couple of weeks ago Teagan and Kaden spent the afternoon at Spokane's new waterpark.

Lake Coeur d'Alene

About a month ago Kaden put his feet in Lake Coeur d'Alene for the first time.
If we would have let him he would have gone all the way in.
Kaden definitely has no fear of all water activities.

The After Party

After Kaden's birthday party he had his first experience with the ice cream truck.

Kaden had a 7-11 themed birthday party in honor of his birthdate. We had lots of friends and family and the party was not complete without having some slurpee's. We had a great time.

On Kaden's Birthday we gave him a new playhouse.
He loves to use the doorbell and to play with the phone.

1st Haircut

Kaden went for his first haircut about 1 week before his first birthday.
It was long overdue! Immediately before the haircut Kaden had a little meltdown but quickly rebounded and did great!

New Toy

We got Kaden a new toy that he has enjoyed using at Grandma B. As you can see he has had just as much enjoyment playing with the box as he has had with the toy.

As Kaden has been getting more mobile he is getting into more and more places and therefore hearing the words "no" a lot more. He has perfected the head motion to go with it."

Happy Mothers Day... and 10 Month Birthday

Kaden and I shared Mother's day and his 10 month birthday.
Contrary to what his pediatrician said it has been over 4 weeks since our visit and Kaden only has had one tooth come in. Unfortunately his 10 month birthday was a bad teething day and he wasn't feeling to great. We had Adam's family over for a Mother's Day dinner. It was a nice evening and the first time everyone has been able to get together in over a year.
